#6 Matt Loder Sr. on How a Crabby Bills Legacy Grew Into a 700+ Employee Hospitality Empire

What does it take to scale a beloved beachside seafood restaurant into a multi-brand restaurant empire?

Host Nicole Valentin Alicea sits down with Matt Loder Sr., CEO of the original Crabby Bills and head of multiple restaurant concepts across Florida’s Gulf Coast. From humble beginnings to managing over 700 employees, Matt shares hard-earned wisdom on leadership, legacy, and the power of listening to the people in the trenches.

You’ll hear:

  • How Matt transformed old-school, Marine-style management into a modern, people-first leadership model
  • Why succession planning isn’t optional—and how he’s grooming the next two generations
  • Creative ways his team stays resilient against hurricanes, red tide, and even pandemics
  • The real reason some guests shouldn’t be dining out—and why that’s okay
  • What makes a brand truly unforgettable

Whether you're in hospitality or just passionate about building strong, values-driven businesses, this episode is packed with insights you can’t afford to miss.
